Mass Effect

Got this on a Buy 2 Get 1 free deal from Amazon, and I have loved playing this game!! The story line is quite compelling, it reminds me of a "Choose-your-own-adventure" book, except in video game form! I only have 2 real gripes: driving the Mako around planets with lots of mountains can be frustrating sometimes, and if you forget to save when you're deep into a mission, it sucks having to start it from the beginning (a better auto-save feature with checkpoints would be nicer). Other than that, the gameplay is solid with a nice mix of action and strategy, although sometimes the computer AI is really stupid. I can't wait to play through the game again and just kill everyone in my way, just to see how it affects the game.

This is a very fun game with a great story. I would recomend playing this before you play ME2. The story and decisions you make in the first game carry over to the next all the way into the 3rd game when that comes out.

Going to make this quick... Very playable, extremely enjoyable, and so many choices to fine tune your character so he can act as you see fit!

Nice game with the book it makes it a bit more unber standable, but the action and plot are good have not played all the way yet and can not wait till i get to the end so i can pick up mass effect 2 ,I like it and the wife likes to watch and people and aliens ,so i give it 2 thumbs up

Just beat the game and I have to say that the main story was top notch. There are a lot of side quests that you can do, but the main story takes about 20hrs to complete.

Main points:

- Even though this is an RPG, it's still a FPS when it comes to combat. The story and extras can overcome that, but if you dont like those types of games, it will be real hard to let Mass Effect sink in.

- If you plan on playing Mass Effect 2, it's better if you start with this game so you've got a good understanding of the action. Not to mention that your decisions will affect future games in this line, contributing to a more continuous play time.

- There is some slow down in game play when it gets really hectic. Those moments seemed to be few and far between though.

- Plenty of replay if you want to experience multiple scenarios (i.e. your first character is a saint while on your next play thru, you can be the biggest A hole the galaxy has ever seen).

Overall, very good game and I'll be looking to pick up ME 2 after I complete Final Fantasy XIII and Dragon Age (another BioWare title - fantasy theme).
